You’re spending three years at university learning how to be the best sound engineer / producer / audio technician / composer / performer in the world, but how do you turn these skills into a paycheck? This event brings together two sessions that might shed some light on the dark art of earning.
11am – 12pm: Amy Maher from the Enterprise Team will discuss what they can do to support you in setting up your own outfit, from business coaching to funding advice. This might be particularly useful for final year students considering their next steps.
12-1pm: Lunch
1-2pm: Robin Kaur, one of our Faculty Placement Officers will talk about what they can do to help you get a paid placement after your second year. This will be followed by a Q&A with two Music Technology students who spent last year on a placement so you can find out what’s really involved.
2pm onwards: opportunity for informal discussion.
