This just showed up in staff email boxes today. One day ahead is rather short notice, to say the least. However, some of our students can still take advantage of this opportunity…
“On Tuesday 27th November the Creative Industries Careers Fair will be taking place on the ground floor of the Hugh Aston Building. The Fair will run between 10.30am and 2.30pm and features employers such as Joules, Creare Communications and EazyTiger. A full list of exhibitors is available from our Fairs website – www.dmu.ac.uk/careersevents
The Fair is open to all staff, students and graduates and there is no requirement to pre-register – people should feel free to turn up on the day and look around the exhibition, talk to employers about internships, placements and graduate roles as well as interact with the Careers & Employability team. We have a Careers Zone where visitors can talk to advisers about applications, CVs, interviews, temporary work, internships and graduate roles.
We have also booked a company called MyJobsPlace to carry out video and multimedia CVs and elevator pitches that students can use on their CV or online blogs – students and graduates can use this facility for free on the day of the fair.
